Chef de Cuisine

Our Head Chef, Tuan Vu, was born and raised in Vietnam then relocated to America in 1985. Tuan comes from a generation of entrepreneurs, both father and uncle started the famous “Pho Thình” noodle house in the 1940’s …still runs today in Hanoi.

The family business has since expanded after the reunion of the two brothers after a long 30 years separation caused by the war that separates the South from North.

Traditions and recipes are now continued by the second generation of the Vu family. In 2008 guided by his father who made a visit to America, the brothers’ recipe for the famous “Pho Thinh” noodle soup was handed down to the talented and highly passionate self taught chef, Tuan Vu.

Tuan leads his team of experienced and dedicated chefs in the kitchen of Indochine. He recently made a trip back to Vietnam in 2010, bringing with him new recipes and trends of Vietnamese cuisines.

On his days off, he likes to dine and be catered to …or cook and hang out with friends.
